Role Overview

Zonda Tec is hiring a Light Duty Auto Mechanic to support operations within its assembly plant. You will work closely with the Assembly Line Manager to ensure every vehicle meets required standards before reaching customers.

This role combines technical expertise with attention to detail. You will handle assembly tasks, conduct inspections, and resolve mechanical issues. At the same time, you will ensure that all systems function efficiently and safely.

Key Responsibilities

In this position, you will take part in both production and after sales service activities. Your work will directly affect vehicle quality and customer satisfaction.

Your duties include:

• Support the final assembly of light duty vehicles from CKD and SKD units
• Conduct pre delivery inspections to confirm all systems operate correctly
• Check and adjust fluid levels, tire pressure, and critical component settings
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using scanners and manual tools
• Troubleshoot issues related to engines, transmission, braking, and suspension
• Perform routine servicing such as oil changes, filter replacement, and system checks
• Repair or replace faulty components including alternators, fuel pumps, and radiators
• Carry out engine and gearbox overhauls when required
• Complete job cards, inspection reports, and service records accurately
• Maintain a clean and safe workshop environment in line with safety standards
• Report recurring faults to support continuous improvement in assembly processes

Moreover, your ability to maintain consistency and accuracy will ensure every vehicle meets manufacturer expectations.

Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you need practical experience and a strong technical foundation. You should also demonstrate discipline and a commitment to quality.

The ideal candidate should have:

• Automobile Technician Certificate Part II or III from a recognized institution
• Diploma in Automotive Engineering will provide an added advantage
• Two to four years of hands on experience with light duty vehicles
• Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical vehicle systems
• Ability to diagnose and fix faults efficiently
• Experience with brands such as Great Wall, Chery, Haval, or similar will be beneficial

In addition, attention to detail and the ability to follow technical guidelines will help you perform effectively.
