POSITION: Security Officer and CCTV Operator

Role Overview

The school requires a Security Officer and CCTV Operator who will support daily safety operations under the supervision of the Safety and Security Manager. You will play a key role in protecting students, staff, and visitors while ensuring strict compliance with security procedures.

This position demands alertness, discipline, and the ability to respond quickly to incidents. At the same time, you must remain professional when interacting with different members of the school community.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will combine physical security duties with surveillance monitoring. You will also ensure that all activities align with established safety guidelines.

Your main tasks include:

• Conduct routine patrols across the campus and residential areas during both day and night
• Monitor the safety of students, staff, and visitors within school premises
• Control access at entry points and ensure all visitors follow security procedures
• Observe and report any suspicious activity or security breaches promptly
• Operate CCTV systems to monitor activities and support incident response
• Manage traffic flow and parking arrangements within the school compound
• Respond to incidents and restrain unauthorized individuals when necessary
• Maintain high standards of health and safety throughout all operations

Furthermore, you will contribute to creating a secure and welcoming environment for everyone on campus.

Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must bring both experience and a strong sense of responsibility. Your ability to stay calm under pressure will also prove essential.

The ideal candidate should have:

• At least five years of experience in a security role
• Minimum of three years hands on experience with CCTV systems
• Ability to work effectively with local law enforcement agencies
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Good reading and writing ability
• A minimum of Senior High School qualification or equivalent
• Additional training in security or CCTV operations will provide an advantage
• A valid driving license with Class C certification

In addition, you should demonstrate professionalism and strong observational skills at all times.

Working Conditions

This role requires flexibility and commitment. You will work in shifts, which may include nights and weekends. You should also prepare to operate in varying environmental conditions such as heat, rain, or high traffic situations.
