POSITION: Delivery Driver

Genius Brain Limited is recruiting a Delivery Driver on behalf of our client, Adom Shipping Company Ltd. If you hold a professional valid driver’s license C, bring at least five years of commercial driving experience, and reside in or around Adjei Kojo, this role offers the perfect opportunity to join a growing door to door shipping company linking Ghanaian businesses to the UK and global markets.

Your Mission

You will take responsibility for transporting goods safely and efficiently to designated locations, working closely with delivery personnel to ensure accurate execution. Your focus will span delivery operations, vehicle management, safety compliance, customer interaction, warehouse support, and real time reporting. Your ability to keep vehicles roadworthy, follow traffic laws, and maintain professionalism will keep customers satisfied and operations smooth.

Key Responsibilities

Your role spans delivery operations, vehicle accountability, safety, customer conduct, warehouse support, and reporting. Here is what you will tackle:

Delivery Operations

• You will transport goods safely and efficiently to designated locations, ensuring every delivery completes on time without damage or loss.
• Working closely with Delivery Personnel ensures accurate delivery execution from warehouse to customer doorstep.
• Items must not return to the warehouse without proper authorization, preventing unauthorized returns and protecting company assets.

Vehicle Management & Accountability

• You will take full responsibility for your assigned vehicle, treating it as your professional tool.
• Using vehicles strictly for official purposes prevents misuse and protects company resources.
• Performing daily checks on fuel level, engine oil, tyres, brakes, and lights catches issues before they cause breakdowns.
• Reporting faults before commencing operations allows management to address problems proactively.
• Maintaining vehicle cleanliness inside and out reflects pride in your work.
• Ensuring the vehicle parks securely after work prevents theft or damage.

Safety & Compliance

• You will follow all road traffic laws and regulations, protecting yourself, your cargo, and other road users.
• Adhering strictly to company policies and Standard Operating Procedures keeps operations consistent and compliant.
• Never using mobile phones while driving prevents accidents and demonstrates focus.
• Strictly avoiding alcohol or drug use during working hours is non negotiable.
• Safety remains non negotiable in every aspect of your work.

Customer Interaction & Conduct

• You will maintain professionalism at all times, representing Adom Shipping positively with every customer interaction.
• Wearing the approved company uniform identifies you as a trusted representative.
• Never requesting or accepting tips or unauthorized payments protects your integrity and the company’s reputation.

Warehouse Support

• You will assist in offloading containers, sorting and organizing goods, and loading delivery vehicles.
• Working collaboratively with warehouse and delivery teams keeps the entire operation running smoothly.

Reporting & Communication

• You will provide real time delivery updates, keeping management informed of progress.
• Confirming delivery completion promptly closes each transaction.
• Reporting delays, accidents, damages, or vehicle issues immediately allows for quick response.
• Maintaining honesty in all financial matters including fuel, expenses, and interactions with authorities builds trust.

What You Bring to the Role

We are looking for a candidate with the right education, licensing, experience, and personal attributes. Here is what you need:

Education & Licensing

• Basic Secondary School education.
• Professional valid driver’s license C.
• Clean or declared driving history.

Experience

• At least five years of commercial driving experience.
• Experience with delivery operations, vehicle maintenance, and warehouse support gives you a strong advantage.

Personal Attributes

• Physically fit for operational duties, including loading, offloading, and sorting goods.
• Professional, reliable, and honest in all financial and operational matters.
• Safety conscious with strict adherence to traffic laws and company policies.
