POSITION: Registrar

Your Mission
You will take responsibility for the day to day administration of the University under the Vice Chancellor. As Secretary to the Governing Council and all Statutory Committees, you will ensure proper documentation, procedural compliance, and effective communication across governance bodies. Your ability to show sound judgment, initiative, resourcefulness, precision, and professionalism will determine your success.

Administrative Leadership
- You will oversee the University’s day to day administration, ensuring efficient operations across all departments and units.
- Implementing policies and procedures that support the University’s academic and administrative goals requires careful planning and execution.
Governance Support
- You will serve as Secretary to the Governing Council and all Statutory Committees, preparing agendas, documenting proceedings, and following up on action items.
- Ensuring governance bodies function effectively protects the University’s legal and regulatory standing.
Stakeholder Engagement
- You will engage with internal and external publics of the University, from students and staff to government agencies and partner organizations.
- Building strong relationships across diverse stakeholder groups enhances the University’s reputation and reach.
Strategic Implementation
- You will work under the Vice Chancellor’s direction, translating strategic goals into actionable administrative plans.
- Contributing to policy development and institutional improvement demonstrates your leadership value.

Qualifications
- A minimum of a Master’s degree, preferably in Administration or a Management related area.
- Computer literacy for managing digital records, communications, and administrative systems.
Experience
- Service as a Deputy Registrar in a University or comparable grade in a similar institution or organisation for at least six years.
- A deep appreciation of the academic working environment of Kumasi Technical University.
- Considerable experience in dealing with a wide variety of internal and external publics of a university.
- Strong understanding of the tertiary education environment, particularly local higher education policies and practices.
