Duties of a Specialist Mechanical Craftsperson

As part of your responsibilities, you will

Find problems with, fix, maintain, and set up mechanical engineering plant and building services systems
Do work on HVAC, steam systems, medicinal gas systems, and water services for homes.
Conduct the planned inspections, maintenance, and commissioning tests.
Read and understand comprehensive engineering drawings and technical specifications, and use them to do your work.
Plan and help with complicated maintenance tasks, including service disruptions and shutdowns.
Safely and effectively use specialised tools and testing equipment.
Fix problems, breakdowns, and other technical concerns that aren’t part of the normal routine at all hospital sites.
Ensure that patients, workers, and the public are always safe.
Take part in required training, compliance activities, and ongoing professional development.
