POSITION: Auto Tyre Mechanic

Your Mission

You will take responsibility for inspecting, repairing, replacing, balancing, and aligning tyres on heavy duty vehicles and equipment. Your focus will span tyre maintenance, inventory management, safety compliance, and troubleshooting. Your ability to spot issues before they cause breakdowns will keep our fleet moving and our production on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

Your role encompasses tyre inspection, repair, balancing, inventory management, and safety adherence. Here is what you will tackle:

Tyre Inspection & Repair

• You will inspect tyres on heavy duty vehicles, identifying wear, damage, or potential failures before they cause problems.
• Repairing and replacing tyres as needed keeps vehicles operational and safe.

Balancing & Alignment

• You will balance and align tyres to ensure even wear, proper handling, and extended tyre life.
• Performing these services reduces fuel consumption and prevents premature tyre replacement.

Inventory & Records

• You will maintain tyre inventory and records, tracking usage, stock levels, and replacements.
• Ordering tyres before stock runs out prevents operational delays.

Safety & Troubleshooting

• You will ensure safety standards are followed during all tyre related activities, protecting yourself and your colleagues.
• Strong troubleshooting skills help you diagnose issues quickly and recommend appropriate solutions.

Certification & Experience

• A relevant certificate or apprenticeship in tyre fitting, automotive mechanics, or a related field.
• Prior experience as a tyre mechanic, specifically working with heavy duty vehicle tyres.

• Knowledge of heavy duty vehicle tyres, including truck tyres, loader tyres, and industrial equipment tyres.
