POSITION: Sales Officer

Sunda International is seeking a Sales Officer to join our team, with a specific focus on the Volta Territory. If you hold a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field, possess excellent communication skills, and know the Volta Region inside and out, this role offers the perfect opportunity to drive sales while working independently and collaboratively.

Moreover, you must be familiar with the Volta territory, either through work or residence, so you can navigate the region confidently and build trust with local retailers and clients.

Your Mission

You will take responsibility for calling potential customers, explaining company products, and encouraging purchases. Your focus will span product knowledge, sales strategy implementation, retailer relationship management, market research, lead follow up, and customer service. Your ability to answer questions accurately, escalate issues when needed, and maintain strong relationships will keep sales flowing consistently.

Key Responsibilities

Your role spans customer outreach, sales reporting, strategy execution, relationship management, market research, and lead handling. Here is what you will tackle:

Customer Outreach & Product Knowledge

  • You will call potential customers, explaining company products clearly and persuasively to encourage purchases.
  • Developing in depth knowledge of company products allows you to answer questions confidently and overcome objections.

Sales Reporting & Strategy

  • You will provide monthly sales reports, monthly expense reports, and any assigned reports to the Area Sales Manager in a timely manner.
  • Implementing sales strategies to meet company targets and objectives requires discipline and follow through.

Retailer & Client Relationships

  • You will maintain strong relationships with retailers and clients to boost sales and encourage repeat business.
  • Building relationships with potential customers while providing excellent customer service creates loyalty and referrals.

Market Research & Lead Management

  • You will conduct market research to identify selling possibilities and evaluate customer needs, staying ahead of trends.
  • Facilitating cold and warm calls to prospective leads, then scheduling and following through on calls with leads and current customers, keeps your pipeline full.
  • Answering all lead and customer questions accurately, while prioritizing or escalating questions as needed, demonstrates reliability and good judgment.

What You Bring to the Role

We are looking for a candidate with the right education, skills, and local knowledge. Here is what you need:

Education

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Management, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.

Technical Skills

  • Proficient in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, for preparing reports and presentations.

Core Competencies

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for building rapport with retailers, clients, and team members.
  • Attention to detail and problem solving skills for catching errors and resolving customer issues.
  • Ability to work independently, managing your own territory and schedule, while also collaborating effectively within a team.

Territory Requirement

  • Must be familiar with the Volta territory, having either worked or resided in the Volta Region. Local knowledge of towns, routes, and business hubs gives you a running start.
