Visa and sponsorship information

Many employers can support overseas applicants through the relevant Irish work-permit routes. Sponsorship processes and timelines vary — always ask the employer for clear steps and expected dates before accepting an offer. Meeting immigration eligibility is the applicant’s responsibility; employers can assist with paperwork but cannot guarantee a visa.

Support for African and Asian applicants

We actively welcome applications from African and Asian communities and other overseas candidates. If you are applying from abroad or English is not your first language, please let us know in your application if you would find additional support helpful (for example, plain-language guidance, more time, written instructions or an interpreter). Employers and recruiters may be able to:

- Explain visa and permitting steps and typical timelines in simple terms
- List commonly required documents (passport, CV, references, any certificates)
- Clarify recognition of overseas qualifications and training
- Offer reasonable adjustments for interviews and assessments

How to apply

Please send a CV and a short covering note describing your relevant experience and your availability. If you need visa support, state this clearly and include any questions about eligibility — the employer or recruiter will respond with guidance.

Important note

You must meet Irish immigration and health requirements to take up a sponsored role. Employers can support your application, but meeting visa eligibility is ultimately your responsibility.
