Job Duties

• Own and manage the functional safety strategy and safety case across product development and deployment.
• Conduct safety analyses using FMEDA, FTA, HAZOP, and STPA methodologies for system validation.
• Define safety goals and derive functional and technical safety requirements with full traceability.
• Build comprehensive safety evidence packages required for certification and regulatory approval.
• Lead CE marking processes in line with the EU Machinery Regulation 2023/1230 requirements.
• Collaborate with regulators, customers, and integrators to ensure compliance and certification success.
• Serve as the technical authority in safety discussions and decision-making processes.

Job Requirements

• Six to ten years of experience in functional safety engineering with proven system delivery experience.
• Strong knowledge of safety standards, including IEC 61508 and ISO 13849, for SIL and PL systems.
• Hands-on experience with safety analysis techniques, including FMEDA, FTA, HAZOP, and STPA.
• Proven ability to lead safety cases through certification or external regulatory assessment processes.
• Experience working with regulators, notified bodies, or certification authorities effectively.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present and defend technical safety decisions.
• Fluency in English, with additional language skills considered an advantage.
