POSITION: Business Development Officer
Waley Goma Apparel Ltd is seeking a Business Development Officer to join our apparel business. If you hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Procurement, or Sales, bring at least two years of experience in business development or sales, and possess strong knowledge of government tender processes, this role offers the opportunity to secure contracts, drive revenue growth, and grow with a dynamic apparel company.

Your Mission
You will take responsibility for identifying and securing new business opportunities within both public and private sectors. Your role includes leading government and corporate tender bidding, monitoring procurement notices, and preparing accurate, timely tender documents. You will also develop business development strategies, conduct market research, negotiate contract terms, and close deals that meet sales targets. Collaborating with internal teams ensures smooth project execution after contract award.

Opportunity Identification & Tender Management
- You will identify, source, and secure new business opportunities and contracts within public and private sectors.
- Leading and managing the end to end process of government and corporate tender bidding.
- Monitoring tender portals, procurement notices, and contract opportunities relevant to the apparel industry.
- Preparing, coordinating, and submitting tender documents, proposals, and bidding requirements accurately and on time.
Relationship Building
- You will build and maintain strong relationships with government institutions, NGOs, corporate organizations, and procurement stakeholders.
- Leveraging your network within government agencies, procurement bodies, or corporate institutions gives you a strong added advantage.
Strategy & Market Research
- You will develop and execute business development strategies to increase market presence and revenue.
- Conducting market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and new growth opportunities.
Negotiation & Deal Closure
- You will negotiate contract terms and close deals to achieve sales targets.
- Collaborating with internal teams to ensure smooth project execution after contract award.

Qualifications & Experience
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Procurement, Sales, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge and practical experience in government tender bidding and procurement processes.
- A strong network within government agencies, procurement bodies, or corporate institutions gives you an added advantage.
- Excellent proposal writing, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- A minimum of two years of experience as a Business Development Officer, Sales Officer, or similar role.
