POSITION: Sales Executive
Ghana Steel is seeking a Sales Executive to join our team in Kpone. If you possess excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship building skills, plus basic computer proficiency in MS Office and email, this role offers a competitive market salary plus attractive performance based incentives.

Your Mission
You will take responsibility for promoting and selling the company’s steel products to existing and potential customers. Your role includes identifying new business opportunities and generating leads, visiting customers regularly to maintain and expand business relationships, and achieving monthly and annual sales targets. Additionally, you will follow up on inquiries, quotations, orders, and payments, monitor market trends and competitor activities, prepare sales reports, and coordinate with internal teams.

Your role spans sales promotion, lead generation, customer visits, target achievement, follow up, market monitoring, reporting, and internal coordination. Here is what you will tackle:
Sales Promotion
- You will promote and sell the company’s steel products to existing and potential customers.
- Presenting product features, quality, and pricing persuasively.
Lead Generation
- You will identify new business opportunities and generate leads through networking, cold calling, and referrals.
- Expanding the customer base beyond existing accounts.
Customer Visits
- You will visit customers regularly to maintain and expand business relationships.
- Using your motorcycle to travel to customer sites efficiently.
Target Achievement
- You will achieve monthly and annual sales targets set by management.
- Tracking progress and adjusting strategies as needed.
Follow Up
- You will follow up on inquiries, quotations, orders, and payments.
- Ensuring no lead falls through the cracks.
Market Monitoring
- You will monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements.
- Reporting insights that help Ghana Steel stay competitive.
Reporting
- You will prepare sales reports and provide regular updates to management.
- Documenting sales activities, achievements, and challenges.
Internal Coordination
- You will coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Communicating customer requirements to production and logistics.
What You Bring to the Role
Requirements
- A minimum of one to three years of sales experience in the steel industry.
- Strong knowledge of steel products and the steel market, including types, grades, and applications.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship building skills.
- A smart, professional, and presentable personality that builds client trust.
- Ability to work independently and achieve sales targets without constant supervision.
- Ability to ride a motorcycle and willingness to travel for customer visits.
- A valid motorcycle driving license is mandatory.
- Basic computer skills including MS Office and email.
