Job Duties

• Perform civil engineering design activities including conceptual studies, design analysis, calculations, and site development.
• Support land development, roadway, utility, subdivision, and infrastructure project design.
• Prepare schematic, design development, and construction documents.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate civil engineering components across projects.
• Assist with proposal responses, presentation materials, and business development activities.
• Support bidding processes through preparation of addenda and bid documentation.
• Provide construction phase support including field visits, RFI responses, shop drawing reviews, and record documentation.
• Develop site layouts, grading plans, roadway concepts, and analytical models using engineering tools.
• Participate in Civil 3D modelling and support LEED-related project activities where applicable.
• Maintain compliance with project schedules, budgets, and quality control procedures.

Job Requirements

• Graduate of an ABET-accredited Civil Engineering or related engineering degree program.
• Two to four years of post-graduation civil engineering experience.
• Experience designing sites, roadways, subdivisions, utilities, or related civil infrastructure.
• Knowledge of manual calculations and analytical modelling for engineering design.
• Experience producing construction drawings and technical documentation.
• Ability to coordinate effectively across multidisciplinary project teams.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Working familiarity with engineering and production software platforms.

Preferred Qualifications

• Postgraduate qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Completion of or eligibility to complete the Fundamentals of Engineering examination and EIT certification.
• Commitment to obtaining Professional Engineer (PE) licensure within 36 months.
• Knowledge of sustainable design principles and pursuit of LEED AP accreditation.
• Additional certifications such as CDT, CCS, or CCCA.
• Membership or participation in professional organisations such as NSPE or ASCE.
• Experience using Civil 3D and collaborative engineering workflows.
