POSITION: Regional Head of Markets

Job Summary

We currently seek a dynamic and results oriented Regional Head of Markets for Sub Saharan Africa. This position places you at the forefront of our regional growth strategy, where you will lead growth activities, resources, and teams necessary for implementing the region’s growth priorities. You will ensure strong alignment and integration with direct and indirect channels, ATPs, organisations, government bodies, academic institutions, and revenue generating marketing campaigns. Your leadership will directly influence our ability to expand our reach and impact across the region.

Responsibilities

• Lead growth activities and teams to implement the region’s growth priorities and strategies effectively.
• Ensure strong alignment and integration with direct and indirect channels, ATPs, organisations, government bodies, and academic institutions.
• Manage revenue generating marketing campaigns, communications, customer care and experience, and summits within the target region.
• Manage partnerships, agreements, and deals with global executive council members, key accounts, and other regional stakeholders.
• Drive channel and B2B management, developing business plans that integrate market planning across diverse areas.
• Develop partnerships and agreements that serve the business and create mutual value.
• Apply marketing and relationship management tools and techniques to achieve strategic objectives.
• Collaborate with senior management and top executives externally and internally to advance PMI’s mission.
• Lead, retain, and progress staff, building a high performing and motivated team.
• Work in an agile, dynamic, and customer centric environment, adapting to changing market conditions.

Qualifications and Experience Required

To succeed in this role, you must bring a combination of academic qualifications, professional experience, and personal attributes. Specifically, we require:

• Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with PMP certification. Alternatively, an MBA is required.
• Experience: 7 to 10 years of management experience in a global business environment involving multiple markets and channels.
• Programmatic Success: Experience building and sustaining programmatic success via geographically disbursed entities or virtual communities of engaged stakeholder groups.
• Channel Management: Track record of successful channel and B2B management and business plan development.
• Partnership Development: Experience in developing partnerships and agreements that serve the business.
• Industry Exposure: Experience in a business to consumer (B2C) and business to business (B2B) environment is highly desirable.
• Problem Solving: Strong problem solving ability and sound business judgment in assessing multiple competing opportunities.
• Marketing Knowledge: Knowledge of marketing and relationship management tools and techniques.
• Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to lead, retain, and progress staff.
• Communication: Excellent communication, collaboration, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Language Proficiency: Proficiency in PMI’s business language, English.
