Job Summary

We currently seek a Medical Doctor to join our team. This position places you at the forefront of patient care, where you will provide health services, collaborate with the medical team, and participate in quality improvement activities. Your expertise will directly influence patient outcomes and the overall effectiveness of our healthcare delivery.

Responsibilities

• Provide health care to patients and clients, assessing their conditions, diagnosing illnesses, and developing appropriate treatment plans.
• Refer patients appropriately when necessary, ensuring they receive specialised care from the right professionals.
• Participate as a member of the Medical Team in providing care, monitoring, and evaluating patients and clients throughout their treatment journey.
• Collaborate with other disciplines and health care staff to ensure optimum care for clients and patients, fostering a holistic approach to treatment.
• Participate in quality improvement activities, contributing to the continuous enhancement of clinical services and patient safety.
• Maintain clear and concise documentation of patient interactions, treatments, and outcomes for accurate record keeping.
• Prioritise activities and react quickly to changes in patient requirements and clinical demands.
• Use your own initiative to address challenges and improve patient care processes.

Qualification and Experience Required

To succeed in this role, you must bring a combination of clinical skills, professional experience, and personal attributes. Specifically, we require:

• Surgical Skills: Basic surgical skills for performing minor procedures and assisting in surgeries.
• Life Support Skills: Basic life support and resuscitation skills for responding to medical emergencies.
• Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills for building rapport with patients and colleagues.
• Supervisory Skills: Ability to supervise and guide junior staff and medical students effectively.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem solving skills for diagnosing complex conditions and developing treatment plans.
• Teamwork: Ability to demonstrate and participate in effective teamwork, collaborating with multidisciplinary staff.
• Cultural Competence: Ability to relate to people from differing backgrounds with empathy and respect.
• Computer Skills: A working knowledge of basic computer applications for documentation and communication.
• Resilience: Ability to work under pressure and maintain composure in demanding situations.
• Documentation: Ability to initiate and maintain clear, concise documentation for patient records.
