POSITION: Land Surveyor

Consequently, we seek a Land Surveyor who shares our commitment to precision and quality and can support our infrastructure projects with accurate measurement and data collection.

Job Summary

We currently seek a skilled Measurement Operator to join our Engineering team. This position places you at the heart of our infrastructure development, where you will conduct precise field measurements and ensure accurate data collection to support construction and engineering projects. Your expertise will directly influence project accuracy, safety, and successful delivery.

Your Responsibilities

• Operate total stations, auto or digital levels, GPS RTK systems, and other surveying tools proficiently, ensuring accurate data collection.
• Perform independent field surveys including topographic mapping, boundary marking, and construction layout with precision.
• Set out building axes, road alignments, drainage systems, and structural elements based on design plans.
• Verify as built conditions, monitor earthwork volumes, and check compliance with design tolerances.
• Record, process, and analyze field data using software such as AutoCAD and GIS tools.
• Prepare survey reports, sketches, and digital maps for project teams, supporting informed decision making.
• Ensure all work meets accuracy standards of ±3mm to 5mm precision.
• Adhere to site safety protocols including PPE usage and hazard reporting.
• Collaborate with engineering and project teams to support seamless project execution.

Qualifications Required

To succeed in this role, you must bring a combination of technical proficiency, practical experience, and personal attributes. Specifically, we require:

• Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated experience with total stations for angle and distance measurement and coordinate calculations, as well as auto or digital levels for elevation control and differential leveling.
• Independence: Ability to work independently in remote or rural sites with minimal supervision.
• Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in infrastructure surveying including roads, pipelines, buildings, or related civil works.
• Software Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD, GIS tools, and other relevant software for data processing and analysis.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to measurement and data recording to ensure accuracy.
• Problem Solving: Ability to identify and resolve surveying challenges effectively.
• Communication: Good communication skills for reporting and collaborating with project teams.
• Safety Commitment: Strong commitment to safety protocols and hazard awareness.
