POSITION: Store Officer

We currently seek a detail oriented and organised Store Officer to support our manufacturing operations. This position places you at the heart of our supply chain, where you will ensure the efficient receipt, storage, issuance, and control of inventory. Your work will directly influence operational efficiency, cost management, and compliance with safety and food safety standards.

Your Responsibilities

• Issue materials and spare parts to operators and supervisors based on approved requisitions, ensuring timely availability.
• Maintain accurate stock records by updating stock cards, bin cards, and inventory registers systematically.
• Organise and store materials appropriately to ensure easy identification and accessibility for all users.
• Receive, inspect, and verify the quality and quantity of goods supplied by vendors, ensuring compliance with specifications.
• Prepare and process Goods Received Notes (GRNs) and update incoming goods registers for both local and imported materials.
• Process supplier invoices and submit relevant documentation to the Accounts Department for timely payment.
• Maintain records and filing systems for store transactions and inventory management activities.
• Maintain the Tools Movement Register and ensure proper tracking of company tools and assets.
• Support urgent procurement of approved materials when required, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
• Conduct regular stock checks and report inventory discrepancies promptly to management.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, food safety standards, and workplace safety requirements.
• Report food safety concerns, hazards, and near miss incidents promptly through appropriate channels.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor to support operational needs.

Qualifications and Experience Required

To succeed in this role, you must bring a combination of academic qualifications, practical experience, and personal attributes. Specifically, we require:

Qualifications

• Education: Minimum HND in Purchasing and Supply, Logistics, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in a storekeeping, inventory control, or warehouse role, preferably within an FMCG or manufacturing environment.
• Inventory Knowledge: Good understanding of inventory management processes and stock control procedures.
• SAP Experience: Knowledge of SAP is an added advantage.

• Organisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining excellent organisational skills.

• Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail and record keeping for maintaining inventory accuracy.
