Each school selects interns through its own evaluation process, and the International and Public Affairs Team cannot influence these decisions.

Eligibility Requirements

• Applicants must be international undergraduate seniors or master’s degree students with a GPA of 3.0 or above.
• English proficiency is essential, demonstrated through a TOEFL iBT score of 80 or an equivalent test. However, students from English-speaking countries or those whose home university uses English as the medium of instruction may submit a certificate confirming “Medium of Instruction is English” instead of a test score.

The application process begins by creating an online account on the GIST website. Applicants must complete the online form, select two preferred laboratories, and upload a research plan. Required documents include original degree certificates, official transcripts in English, a letter of recommendation, and English language proficiency proof. The application period typically opens in February and closes in late February or early March. Shortlisted candidates receive notifications in late April, with the program running from mid-June to mid-August.
