Fully Funded Movement Leader Fellowship 2027

Applications are open for the 2027 Movement Leader Fellowship. This seven-month program builds leadership skills for social justice organizers. Leadership for Democracy and Social Justice created this intensive fellowship. It combines coursework, coaching, retreats, and peer collaboration. Fellows keep working full-time while applying new skills directly. This practical approach sets it apart from typical leadership programs.

Program Components

• Graduate-level coursework in leadership and organizing strategy

Financial Structure

• Total program cost: approximately $27,600 per fellow
• Covers tuition, travel, lodging, meals, and coaching
• Organizational sliding-scale contributions are suggested, not required
• Scholarships are available regardless of financial need

• 10 to 15 years of social justice leadership experience
• Employed full-time within an organizing-focused organization
• Actively leading teams, campaigns, or major initiatives
• Deeply connected to historically marginalized communities
• Able to fully commit to every fellowship component
