Requirements for AAUW International Fellowships for Women 2027

First, applicants must be women or identify as women. The fellowship aims to promote women’s education and professional development.
Second, applicants must be U.S. citizens or U.S. permanent residents. This programme is for women who are not United States citizens or permanent residents.
Thirdly, applicants must be admitted to or enrolled in their first eligible master’s or academic/professional doctoral programme at the time of application.
Applicants should also commence their programme on or before 15 September 2027 and complete it on or after 30 April 2028.
They must ensure that the proposed academic plan fits within the fellowship timeline.
Additionally, applicants must have at least one academic degree equivalent to a United States bachelor’s degree.
Applicants must also have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale for the highest degree attained.
Applicants must be enrolled on a full-time basis in a U.S. Department of Education-accredited institution of higher education in the United States.
Applicants must also live in the U.S. or the country where the approved research will take place during the fellowship.
Finally, applicants apply only for one type of degree (master’s degree or doctoral degree).
