Requirements for AAUW International Fellowships for Women 2027

• First, applicants must be women or identify as women. The fellowship aims to promote women’s education and professional development.
• Second, applicants must be U.S. citizens or U.S. permanent residents. This programme is for women who are not United States citizens or permanent residents.
• Thirdly, applicants must be admitted to or enrolled in their first eligible master’s or academic/professional doctoral programme at the time of application.
• Applicants should also commence their programme on or before 15 September 2027 and complete it on or after 30 April 2028.
• They must ensure that the proposed academic plan fits within the fellowship timeline.
• Additionally, applicants must have at least one academic degree equivalent to a United States bachelor’s degree.
• Applicants must also have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale for the highest degree attained.
• Applicants must be enrolled on a full-time basis in a U.S. Department of Education-accredited institution of higher education in the United States.
• Applicants must also live in the U.S. or the country where the approved research will take place during the fellowship.
• Finally, applicants apply only for one type of degree (master’s degree or doctoral degree).
