About EvEx

EvEx represents a broader national effort strengthening research-to-policy connections. It launched as an ESRC-funded initiative spanning seven leading UK universities. The consortium includes King’s College London, Edinburgh, and Swansea University. This Associate Fellowship call specifically extends opportunities beyond that core consortium. It particularly welcomes institutions without prior fellowship-hosting experience.

What Funded Organisations Will Do

Host organisations design programmes connecting civil servants with relevant researchers. Fellows must spend a minimum five days engaging with academics overall. Activities can include one-on-one meetings, roundtables, seminars, and workshops. Organisations retain flexibility in structuring their specific fellowship model design. Successful hosts also receive dedicated coaching and learning support throughout delivery.

Who Can Apply

Eligible organisations must qualify for UK Research and Innovation funding generally. This includes universities, colleges, and independent research institutes broadly. Groups of organisations may also apply together for joint programmes. No prior Policy Fellowship experience is required to be considered.
