About the Fellowship

The fellowship gives outstanding researchers freedom to pursue their own research questions. It supports candidates who need flexibility because of personal circumstances. For example, fellows may work part-time or take extended leave for health reasons or caring duties. Fellows also receive tailored career development and mentoring.

In addition, they join a supportive community of research fellows. Reviewers assess applications in stages. Panel members first draw up a longlist. Independent peer review follows. Finally, a selection committee shortlists candidates for interview.
