Overview

This is a full-time, seasonal position running from 1 April 2026 to 1 November 2026. You will work in a hospitality setting, keeping guest rooms and communal areas clean, comfortable and welcoming. The role is physically active and requires flexibility — shifts rotate across the week and include weekends and public holidays.

Working hours and pay

- Typical hours are around 35 per week, with overtime available during busy periods.

- Pay is hourly and workers are paid fortnightly; tips may be received in addition to wages.

Key responsibilities

- Make beds and change used or soiled linens

- Clean guest rooms, bathrooms and communal areas to required standards

- Vacuum carpets, mop floors and dust surfaces

- Empty bins and dispose of waste correctly

- Launder, dry and fold sheets, towels and blankets

- Replenish room supplies and amenities

- Move or adjust furniture as needed for cleaning

- Follow hygiene, safety and cleaning procedures at all times

- Report maintenance issues or room damage to supervisors

- Work efficiently to meet daily room-cleaning targets

Person specification

- At least 3 months’ experience in housekeeping or cleaning work is preferred

- Able to stand and work for long periods and carry out physically demanding tasks

- Comfortable lifting, bending, reaching, pushing and pulling as required

- Willing to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays

- Careful, neat and attentive to detail

- Physically fit and able to work in a fast-paced hospitality setting

- Willing to use employer-provided accommodation if required

- Eligible for the U.S. H-2B seasonal worker visa
