Visa and sponsorship notes
Employers who sponsor workers will normally support your visa application and provide information on required documents and timelines. Sponsorship processes and permit types vary (seasonal permits, temporary work permits); ask the employer for a clear outline before accepting any offer. Meeting immigration, health and any background‑check requirements is the applicant’s responsibility.
Support for African and Asian applicants
We welcome applicants from African and Asian communities and other overseas candidates. If you are applying from abroad or English/German is not your first language, please tell us if you would find extra support helpful (for example: plain‑language guidance, more time for paperwork, translated instructions or an interpreter). Employers and recruiters may be able to:
- Explain the visa and permit steps and likely timelines in simple terms
- List commonly required documents (passport, CV, references, any certificates)
- Clarify whether overseas qualifications or experience are recognised
- Offer reasonable adjustments during application and onboarding
How to apply
Send a CV that lists your recent work history and two references, and a short covering note stating your availability and whether you need visa support. If you have questions about sponsorship or documents, include them and the employer or recruiter will respond with guidance.
Important note
You must meet Austrian immigration, health and any background‑check requirements to take up a sponsored role. Employers can assist with paperwork, but obtaining the visa and meeting eligibility is ultimately your responsibility.
