POSITION: Technical Training Instructor

Process & Plant Automation Ghana Ltd is seeking a Technical Training Instructor to join our team. Your Mission

You will take responsibility for designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs in electrical engineering. Your focus will span curriculum development, training delivery, practical hands on sessions, assessment and reporting, mentorship, safety compliance, data protection, and quality management. Your ability to convert inquiries into confirmed bookings, meet training enrollment and revenue targets, and identify upselling opportunities will keep our training business thriving.

Key Responsibilities

Your role spans program development, training delivery, practical instruction, assessment, marketing support, safety compliance, and quality management. Here is what you will tackle:

Program Development & Delivery

• You will develop and deliver structured training programs in electrical engineering, covering both fundamental and advanced topics.
• Conducting in house, virtual, and onsite training sessions reaches learners wherever they are.
• Designing and updating course materials including manuals, presentations, and assessments keeps content fresh and relevant.
• Ensuring training content aligns with industry regulations, safety standards, and technological advancements protects both learners and the organization.

Marketing & Client Engagement

• You will actively support the marketing and promotion of scheduled and customized training programs to potential corporate and individual clients.
• Identifying client training needs, providing technical guidance on suitable courses, and contributing to converting inquiries into confirmed bookings drives revenue.
• Collaborating with colleagues to achieve training enrollment and revenue targets, while proactively identifying opportunities for upselling or cross selling advanced and specialized courses, maximizes impact.

Practical Training & Industry Application

• You will oversee hands on training in electrical installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and control systems.
• Supervising trainees in practical and workshop sessions while ensuring adherence to safety protocols prevents accidents.
• Incorporating real world case studies and problem solving exercises to enhance learning outcomes bridges theory and practice.

Assessment & Reporting

• You will conduct pre and post training assessments to measure trainee performance and competency.
• Submitting detailed training reports including trainee progress, feedback, and areas for improvement keeps stakeholders informed.
• Maintaining accurate records of training activities, certifications, and attendance supports audit readiness.

Mentorship & Support

• You will provide guidance and technical support to trainees, fostering a positive learning environment.
• Assisting in career development initiatives by advising trainees on industry best practices and certifications builds long term loyalty.

Safety & Compliance

• You will ensure strict adherence to electrical safety protocols and health regulations in training environments.
• Conducting risk assessments and identifying hazards related to training activities prevents incidents.
• Maintaining and inspecting training equipment, ensuring it meets safety and operational standards, protects learners and instructors.

Data Protection & Record Keeping

• You will safeguard trainee records and personal data in compliance with data protection regulations.
• Ensuring confidentiality of training materials and proprietary information protects the company’s intellectual property.

Quality Management System Duties

• You will take responsibility for Commercial Training Asset Management, Commercial Training Execution, and Commercial Training Planning processes.
• Following all activities outlined in each process ensures quality objectives are achieved.

Other Tasks

• You will conduct regular stock taking exercises of all training equipment and tools inventory.
• Performing other tasks as assigned demonstrates flexibility.

Qualifications & Experience

• A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• A minimum of three to five years of experience in electrical engineering training or a related technical role.
• Teaching or instructional experience in a technical training environment is preferred.
• Certifications in electrical safety and professional training give you an added advantage.

Skills & Abilities

• Strong knowledge of industry protocols and best practices.
• Complete understanding of codes and standards.
• Strong communication skills, capable of expressing yourself clearly both in speaking and writing.
• A collaborative personality, open to suggestions from team members.
• Excellent analytical skills and ability to accurately interpret complex documents and policies.
• Strong time management and organizational skills, able to meet deadlines.
• A strong moral code and sense of ethics.
• Good teaching skills that engage learners at different levels.
• Ability to adapt quickly to technological changes and make them understandable in text and pictures.
• Knowledge of modern training techniques and tools for technical subjects.
• Working knowledge of MS Office, especially PowerPoint for creating compelling presentations.
